Arrrr Mateys! It’s Pirate Week! International Talk Like a Pirate Day be taking place on September 19th and what better way to celebrate ye favorite day than with some pirating fun?! So, we’ve got an easy-to-make pirate munch snack mix to share and other great ideas to help you have a swashbuckling fun week! 
Pirate party food is always a big hit! But, this week you don’t need a party as an excuse to make a fun treat – this little snack mix is great for Talk Like a Pirate Day! And, it is SO easy to make! Just 4 ingredients and dump everything together in the bowl. Here’s what we put in our pirate munch mix:
- Pirate Sail Masts (pretzel sticks)
- Canon Balls (cocoa cereal puffs)
- “Gold” Fish (gold fish crackers)
- Pirate’s Booty Crunchy Treasures (a new version of the popular snack with anchors, X marks the spot, ship wheels, etc)
That’s it! Just add a few handfuls (or a cup or two) of each to a serving bowl! If you’d like you can add a little pirate mast to make it more fun. We did a miniature version of our giant DIY pirate sail! I just used a small piece a fabric and two bamboo skewers! Super easy! 
So, you can whip this fun little snack munch up and then have some fun at your local community’s Pirate Day/Week events! Be sure to check out your local libraries, zoos, and aquariums!
