Yum! Did that title or photo lure you in?! 😉 I assure you, this peppermint chocolate pie does indeed taste as good (or even better) than it looks! But, I need to let you in on a little secret…it’s not homemade! That’s an Edwards® Hershey®’s Chocolate Crème pie with peppermint goodness added (by me) to make it a little more festive for the holidays.
Despite my best efforts and intentions to get “it” all done and make entirely from scratch goodies, it sometimes just doesn’t happen. Last year while I was suffering from the first trimester yuck, it didn’t happen at all. In fact, not much creative or fun happened at all (consequently, there is a huge lack of Christmas posts & pictures from last year). So, if you ever find yourself too busy or too sick to make something brilliant from scratch,Edwards Crème pies are a great way to go! So, to “make” this delicious dessert, you’ll need to go to the store and grab an Edwards® Hershey®’s Chocolate Crème Pie. Then, you’ll want to take one candy cane & crush it up into fairly fine powder.
Sprinkle the crushed candy cane (and a few peppermint baking chips if you’d like) over the creme pie. Serve up the pie on a pretty plate and you’ve got a really easy holiday dessert!
Seriously, the taste was SO good! I’m sure the pie is great on it’s own. But, the addition of the crushed peppermint was perfect during this holiday season!
YUM!!!

I’ve eaten Edwards Pies before, but didn’t know they had a Hersheys Chocolate Cream pie. I must try it.
