I like having the boys make something fun or cute for the grandmas for Mother’s Day. A couple of years ago, they did a cute frame and some handprint flowers. Last year, for my mom we did a little flower pot with some cute picture flowers. It’s simple, easy to make, and cute! A perfect grandma gift for Mother’s Day! Obviously, I did the writing on the flower pot. It says, “Kids are like flowers and Grammies help them grow”. Awwww! 🙂 With that quote on the flower pot, then picture flowers seemed the perfect thing to put in! Those were also very easy to make. All you need is some paper, photos, and large popsicle sticks (these were the already colored ones, though you could easily paint some).
For the petals, I actually used my Cricut, but you could definitely cut them out by hand easily enough. Then, find some pictures where you can cut the faces out into a nice-size circle for the center of the flowers. Glue everything together, even add a leaf if you like. Then, for some added fun, attach magnets on the back.
With that simple addition to the back, grandma can enjoy the flowers but use the flower pot for something else! They looked really cute on great-grandma’s fridge! 🙂
