Santa Minion Krispie Treat Recipe

  • 1/4 C butter
  • 4 C  mini marshmallows
  • 6 C puffed rice cereal
  • white candy bark/coating
  • additional mini marshmallows for hat decorations
  • large candy eyes
  • yellow sanding sugar
  • red sanding sugar
  •  chocolate candy bark or black decorating gel
  • lollipop sticks

You’ll start the process by making a batch of krispie treats. Spread them into a pan to. Once cool, make your own template like I did to cut out minion shape with a slightly pointed top. Melt the candy coating. insert lollipop sticks into the bottom of the cones (use a little melted chocolate to help stick if needed).  Then, dip the top side one of the cut treats in the melted white coating. Immediately after, place 5 mini marshmallows where the Santa hat rim should be. Then, dip the lower-half of the coated treats in yellow sanding sugar (which I just spread out on a paper plate). Dip the top part (the Santa hat) in the red sanding sugar. Put a little melted white coating on the back of the candy eye and place in the middle of the yellow part. Then, dip one end of a mini marshmallow in the melted white coating and place on the top of the hat.  All that’s left to do is pipe on a little Minion smile. You’ll need to melted chocolate/black candy coating or decorating gel for this. Carefully pipe on the smile you’d like and that’s it – you have cute Minion Santa treats for some holiday movie night fun!  So head out to Walmart, pick up the Despicable Me 3 Special Edition gift set and the supplies you need to make these cute Minion treats!
