Valentine’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to give your child a fun love themed gift. My Disney loving daughter is going to wake up to Valentine’s Day with a Minnie themed gift full of Disney fun. We will be spending our evening watching her new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Minnie-rella DVD (available in stores February 11, 2014). She will likely bring her Disney pencil toppers to school the following week and the new Valentine’s Day book is sure to become a part of our bedtime reading routine. A stuffed Minnie from the official Disney store collection completes the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
The DIY pencil toppers took less than five minutes to make.
Supplies:
- pencils
- pipe cleaners
Form a large circle for the Mickey face and then wrap the ends of the pipe cleaner around the top of the circle in the middle leaving ends to make ears. Form circle shapes for ears and wrap the end pieces of the pipe cleaner around the large circle to complete the Mickey shape. Wrap half of a pipe cleaner around the top of a pencil and then wrap the other half around the bottom of your Mickey shape to secure it to the pencil.
Being fans of both Minnie and Cinderella in our house, I know my daughter is going to love the new DVD, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Minnie-rella. The Magical Adventure episode shares how Mickey and the gang keep Minnie busy with chores until they are able to pick out the perfect gift. When Fairy Godmother Clarabelle arrives Minnie is hoping to make it to Mickey’s castle in time. Just like the other Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes, Mickey and the gang asks for help from Toodles and your child. The DVD includes 10 Minnie Bow-Toon shorts and 3 full additional episodes: Pluto’s Tale, Mickey and the Enchanted Egg, and Daisy’s Pony Tale. The DVD package also includes a Minnie-rella castle play set.
I can’t wait to see my daughter’s little eyes light up when she wakes up to a very special Minnie gift for Valentine’s Day.
