Simple Jake and the Never Land Pirates PartyYo Ho, Mateys! Do you have Jake fans in your pirate crew? We sure do!!! The Disney Junior show is a BIG hit in our house – so much so, that we’ve had quite a bit of Jake fun at our house. In the past, we’ve celebrated the boys with a Jake and the Never Land Pirates birthday party, complete with a whole Bucky pirate ship cake! And, a couple months ago we had some fun with a Disney Junior party! So, we were super excited about teaming up with Mom Select and Disney Parks to host a Jake and the Never Land Pirates  themed #DisneyKids playdate! They sent some fun supplies to help us show our Disney Side and I got to work on putting together a fun & easy Disney celebration.Jake and the Never Land Pirates CostumesMy kiddos and their friends love dress-up play. From Halloween, we had our DIY Cubby & Skully costumes. So, we put those out in a treasure chest with more themed costumes like Peter Pan, pirates, a Hook hook, etc. Everyone picked costumes and then enjoyed some Jake and the Never Land Pirates on tv! Super easy fun! I also kept the food super simple! Pirate party food is super easy to do with a few of the right things. Our favorites are making squid/octopus out of hot dogs. We received some Cheezy Crunchmaster crackers that were a great golden color, so I put those out as gold nuggets. And, since the kids love clementines, those were perfect scurvy fighters –something every pirate needs! Pirate party foodYum! The kids were totally fine with a simple lunch – especially since they were having so much fun with all the activities. One that the older boys really enjoyed was our #DisneySide matching game! They had so much fun seeing the characters and attractions on the back of the cards! You can find quite a few printable Disney-themed activities on the Disneyside Celebrations wesbite! #DisneySide Matching GameThe biggest hit of our little playdate party though was digging for buried treasure in kinetic sand! It was SUCH an easy activity to put together and the kids absolutely LOVED it! If you’ve never seen kinetic sand (affiliate link), it’s AMAZING!! For our activity, I filled the sand tray with a few fun pirate loot items (beaded necklaces, gold coins, etc). Treasure Dig Kinetic Sand ActivityThis stuff is SO awesome! The kids played with it for a LONG time! So, I definitely recommend picking some up for a pirate party…or fun any time! Kinetic Sand Pirate ActivitySo much fun! With just a little extra effort and a few fun supplies, we were able to enjoy a fun #DisneyKids playdate. If you’re planning a Disney-themed party or fun way to show your #Disneyside, be sure to visit the Disney Side celebrations site. There’s so much good inspiration there!

What Disney-themed party would your kids like to have?

*Disclosure: I received a special hostess gift from Disney Parks and Mom Select for hosting our party, but I was not compensated nor required to share. The experiences & photos (and love of Disney) are 100% my own!
