I can’t believe we’re less than a week away from Thanksgiving! That means Christmas is right around the corner and it’s time to be thinking about ordering your holiday cards (if you haven’t already). If you’ve been a reader for a while, then you know that I love Shutterfly and have used them for many of our cards & photo gift needs!
What’s your holiday card style? Thus far, the pictures on our cards have always been rather “Christmasy”. Here are a few favorites from years past:
I’m still not sure what we’ll do this year. We do have plans for a little family photoshoot on December 1st. And, Shutterfly has a great new Family Photo Site, with lots of tips & ideas for getting your perfect card worthy shot! It’s SO hard trying to get a great shot of 3 boys ages 5 & under, and even harder when we’re in the photo too. So, I’ll take all the help I can get. We’ll see what happens! But, it’s cutting it kinda close. If nothing else, I did just get some GREAT photos of the boys on our recent trip back to Nebraska.
So, maybe we’ll have to go with a more fallish look to our holiday cards this year! 😉 No matter what though, there are a lot of great designs to choose from at Shutterfly!

Hoping to get my photos taken in the next week or so!
I don’t usually send holiday cards, but if I could get some cute ones from Shutterfly without spending a lot of money… then I definitely will this year!
I haven’t sent cards for a few years. Maybe this year…….
I don’t have card plans yet!! This inspires me!!

I always end up sending my cards out at the last minute because I can’t ever decide which photo and card to use….too many choices! 🙂
Hahaha, Lynda! I often have that same exact issue! 🙂
I always take the kids to park to get their pictures for cards. I make a photo calendar with Shutterfly every year!
Omg. I’m still working on my plans… trying to figure out how to self portrait my little family… or just a pic of my little man for everyone! This may help me to decide!! 🙂
You might gasp when I say this, but we have never done holiday card! EEK! I have wanted to do them since our kids were born (5 and 3 now…) but time always seems to get away from me. Plus, there are NEVER picture of me! LOL! Am I a bad mom?
No, you’re not a bad mom! LOL! 🙂 I don’t love being in photos usually either. But ever since reading this “embrace the camera” post a couple of years ago, I try to make sure I get in a picture every now & again! http://andersonfamilycrew.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_8779.html

I will be sending out cards two weeks before Christmas. I love Shutterfly. I have ordered some photobooks from them and they came out very nice. I
i have no plans to send cards out this year.
I usually send digital cards.
I will be in your neck of the woods for the holidays, so we’ll have to plan a playdate and/or maybe a HS reunion w/ kids playdate with a couple friends!
Fun! Definitely keep me posted on your plans! 🙂
shutterfly cards! so this giftcard would be awesome! 🙂
We’re having our family photo taken tomorrow, but I haven’t picked out a card yet!
My pictures for the kids are completed…now the decision of which card from shutterfly to use.
We plan just having a simple family photo taken sometime soon for our holiday cards. Not sure if there will be any theme or not, but hopefully cute will ultimately be the theme 🙂
Im planning on taking a family photo by the first week of December, and getting my cards ready to mail by December 10th.
The boys are adorable in those pics from Ne!!
Thanks! 🙂 I had fun doing some photoshoots with them!
I always do a family picture holiday card for our families!
We attempted to get some photos of our three little girls this past week. They were adorable in matching outfits by Tea Collection…BUT getting a 6-year-old, 3-year-old, and 7-month-old to all look at the camera at the same time is not an easy task! 😉
Fortunately, we did come away with a few keepers and I hope to order photo cards soon.
Our boys are almost the exact same ages as your girls. I TOTALLY know. I tried to get group photos of them last weekend. Super hard! 🙂
I plan on using a family photo! Thanks for this giveaway!
I live in a different state from my familly so combining pictures and holiday cards together could save me $$$ in postage!!!
I usually can’t get all my boys in the same state at the same time but this year we had a graduation and I have the perfect picture for Christmas cards!
I’m hoping to save some $ this year and design my own photo christmas card. Wish me luck!
I plan to order online from somewhere — we just took some holiday photos yesterday!
Umm, I need to make holiday card plans. I usually take a picture of the kids so I’m hoping they are presentable on Thanksgiving so I can get a good one 🙂
I actually plan on sending cards this year. We haven’t done that before, and I figure at 27 years old its probably time. 🙂
We had our first family of 3 Christmas pictures taken a few weeks ago! I was hoping to send Christmas cards out very similar to these! This would be the perfect opportunity!
We just took family pictures, so this would be perfect!
Love, love shutterfly! i already ordered my cards last night, so excited to get them from Shutterfly again this year
Not sure what I’m going to do yet for card, so this looks like a great idea!
My plan is to try and take a nice photo of my family. My reality will be a lot of “creative” faces from my five year old, and the back of my toddler’s head as he runs out of frame. 🙂
I took my kids to an old church in downtown King George. It’s red brick with white paint that has weathered off. It is so charming and I’m so pleased with how the photos turned out!
Those boys of yours are too stinkin’ cute!!! I have no idea what we’re doing for our holiday cards yet. Oh dear!
Aw, thanks, Viv! 🙂 I’m sure you’ll think of something!
I want to try out some of the cute ideas I saw on Pinterest for photo cards
My goal for holiday photo cards this year is to get them out before Christmas! Seriously, last year I sent out New Year’s cards…
Hahaha…I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who is super late with that sometimes! 🙂 Good luck getting them out earlier this year!
