We’re right in the midst of back to school time here! Last week was filled with school supplies shopping and meet-the-teacher nights. Big Brother starts second grade this week and Little Brother starts preschool! We just had one last little summer playdate and decided on a “back to school” party theme. So, I made up these printable Back to School BINGO cards that the kids loved playing!
For younger kids (like Little Brother who haven’t been to school), this is really a great educational activity as it builds their school vocabulary & knowledge. As adults we sometimes forget all the common knowledge we have that kids don’t. Kids might not know by looking at it that something is a clip, trophy, music notes, or eraser. So, I loved that it was helping prepare them to head into the classroom and they didn’t even know they were learning! 🙂 We used unifix cubes (affiliate link) as the bingo chips (which were great for counting practice as well).
To play Back to School, just print out the Bingo cards below (currently there are 5 different cards). Each will print on 1 sheet of standard printer paper. Print on card stock if you’d like them to hold up. If you have the time, laminating the sheets will help keep them over time. We have this Fellowes laminator (affiliate link) and it works great!
