We went to
Kauai this spring and had the most delicious Hawaiian hot dogs on our first night there. Sweet bread, mango/pineapple sauce, SO good. While we couldn’t recreate those exactly, we set out to combine some of the same flavors for a delicious summer grilling dinner. And let me tell you…these are THE best hot dogs we’ve ever had. These are so so SO good! It all started with
Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs, then some bacon and delish grilled pineapple mango salsa! Mmmmmmm……

Now, those flavors together might sound odd at first thought (especially if you haven’t had anything like it in Hawaii). But, I promise you it’s an amazing flavor combination! To make your Hawaiian dogs, you’ll start by grilling your dogs. We kicked things up a notch by wrapping them in bacon before grilling. The signature seasoned hot dogs combined with the bacon on the grill is a
great combination! When grilling up bacon-wrapped hot dogs, just make sure the heat is lower than you’d normally have it (so the bacon crisps up and doesn’t just burn).

Oh if that smell could come through the screen! So good! While the hot dogs grill, you can start prepping the salsa by chopping up your chives, onion, and mango. To really enhance the flavors, I recommend grilling the pineapple (and even the mango if you want). We used about 1/2 a small pineapple and half a large mango. As soon as the fruit comes off the grill, chop it up (with about 1/4 cup chopped sweet onion and a tablespoon or two of chopped chives. Add a sprinkle of garlic powder if desired).

SUPER yum! So once the hot dogs come off the grill, put them in Hawaiian sweet roll hot dog buns and top them with a few spoonfuls of the salsa. It’s a happy tropical flavor explosion! Make these up for a
grilling party and all your friends will be calling you a grill master!

And speaking of grill masters, you can tune in to
watch the Finest Grillathon on August 13th as a team of grill masters attempt to break the world record for the longest running group BBQ in New York City, using Ball Park’s Park Finest Hot Dogs. Visit The
