Need an Extra special gift to give this holiday season? How about this cute gum bouquet?! With the Wrigley’s Extra Gum single packs, making a fun, little gum bouquet is so easy…and great for the holidays with all the fun minty flavors! This gift would be great for just about anyone that likes gum! I think it would make a great teacher gift too! It’s inexpensive to do, quick & easy to put together, and cute for the win!
To make your own extra special gum bouquet, you just need a few supplies and can put everything together in minutes. You can find Wringley’s Extra Gum single packs in the store checkout aisles. At Walmart, we found great minty holiday flavors like Polar Ice, Spearmint and Peppermint. Plus, I found some packs of Wintermint for good measure!
Supplies:
(for a small basket like featured above)
- small tin or canister of your choice
- 9 packs of Extra Gum
- tissue paper
- floral foam
- lollipop sticks
- tape
Directions:
– Start by lining your tin with a sheet of tissue paper. Then, insert a chunk of floral foam to fit the container. At that point you can top with tissue paper to cover the floral foam if you wish (or you can attempt to do that at the end). – Then, start putting in the gum into the container. I taped the lollipop sticks to the back of the packs of gum. Vary the size of the lollipop sticks (you can cut them if needed) to create different heights of the gum in the tin.
Continue adding gum packs-on-a-stick until you’ve filled in the tin and you have a nice look to the bouquet. And, that’s it really! You can add a bow if you like. Plus, you could add a cute tag with a fun saying. I love how easily the Extra Gum lends itself to a play on words… “to an Extraordinary teacher”; “Have an Extra Merry Christmas”; “to an Extra special friend”; “Here’s to an Extra Happy 2014″…really, the list could go on and on! There are so many fun ways to gift this Extra special gum bouquet!
Who would YOU gift an Extra special gum bouquet to?
