Football Team Spirit Pasta Salad (Nebraska Huskers-style)

It’s time for another Football Friday post and I have another fun team spirit tailgating/game-watching recipe idea! We served up some team spirit pasta salad at one of our recent Nebraska Huskers football parties – a perfect compliment to our team spirit mini pizzas and/or slow cooker chicken wings! The whole idea behind the pasta salad started when I found actual team spirit pasta! So fun! You can order this online from the Pasta Shoppe and sometimes you can find certain teams on Amazon (affiliate link). For the Huskers, the pasta was red & white “N’s” (of course). So, I decided an all team colors pasta salad would be so fun for our party! This could be difficult depending on the team (or really easy). For Nebraska (with colors of red, white, and black), I was able to put together a great salad in those colors.

I just boiled the pasta as normal. Then, drained & cooled. While that was cooking (& cooling), I chopped up my red, white, and black veggies. Those included cauliflower, tomatoes, red bell pepper, and black olives. Add the veggies to the pasta and top with at least a half cup of your favorite Italian/Vinaigrette dressing. SO easy and it looks great for a football party! Gotta love a recipe that’s tasty AND fun for a party!  But the fun doesn’t end there!
