Healthier Dessert (or Breakfast Option)
Don’t these parfaits look delicious?! I LOVE cobblers and crisps, especially in the fall and winter months! But, sometimes I don’t want all the calories in those. And sometimes I don’t want to take the time to put together a full pan of dessert! So, these cute little parfaits are PERFECT for when those sweet comfort food cravings strike. And, these peach crisps are PERFECT for that because they’re a healthier dessert option that can be whipped up in a HURRY. They also are great for the summer months – when you’d LOVE some delicious cobbler, but you really don’t want to heat the oven up and make the whole house hot! These little parfaits even make a delicious breakfast or after school snack option! Such a versatile, delicious dish!!!
Dole Jarred Fruit
To make our peach crisp parfaits, we used DOLE Jarred Fruit! It comes in five varieties (Tropical Fruit, Sliced Peaches, Pineapple Chunks, Mandarin Oranges, or Mixed Fruit). We obviously went with the sliced peaches for this recipe. But, I bet you could make other tasty treats with the other fruits! I love that with the DOLE Jarred Fruit there’s no cutting, peeling or mess! You just open the jar and have tasty, ready-to-eat fruit ready to go! I also love that the fruit is packed in 100% fruit juice and the jars have convenient, re-sealable lids – so you can just take what you need and put the rest back in the fridge! Super easy (and SO tasty)! These are great to stock up to have on hand in the pantry for all kinds of delicious recipes or just quick snacks! I love the flavor and the convenience! With using the DOLE sliced peaches, I was able to put together two delicious parfaits in under 5 minutes!
How to Make Peach Crisp Parfaits
For the recipe, you’ll really just need 3 main ingredients – the DOLE sliced peaches, Greek yogurt, and granola. I HIGHLY recommend whipping up a batch of this simple honey nut granola! It’s SO tasty and so easy to make! I like keeping some on hand (you can even store it in the freezer) to make other treats with, like these tasty parfaits. So, you can’t go wrong by whipping up a big batch of the granola to have. YUMmmmmm! If you’re making these peach parfaits for breakfast, I recommend just using the Greek Yogurt (vanilla or peach flavored both work well). You can also add in some cinnamon and honey for extra flavors. But, if you’re having this for dessert and really want to spruce it up, you can’t go wrong with adding in some vanilla ice cream or topping the parfaits with whipped cream! YUM!
