As big Disney fans, we are so excited to share this Disney-inspired Churro Popcorn recipe with you as part of a sponsored partnership with Disney Junior. Whip up some of this tasty treat and tune into Disney Junior this summer for some FRiYAY fun! What are your kids’ favorite shows? In this house of little boys and Disney fans, it probably comes as NO surprise that we love Disney Junior! The Lion Guard, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, PJ Masks, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates are big hits around here! But they also really enjoy Elena of Avalor! Contrary to what some may think with a Princess lead, the show is NOT just for girls! My boys love the show! Since Little Brother’s favorite animal is a jaguar, he REALLY likes the flying jaquins! So, I thought it would be fun to whip up a cute little Elena-themed jaquin treat to enjoy over the summer while they watch the show! Since Elena is Disney’s first Latina princess and our favorite Disneyland treat is churros, I thought some churro popcorn would be the perfect snacky treat for our Elena of Avalor watching! And I couldn’t resist turning the treat cups into jaquins! These are SOOOOO easy to make and the boys absolutely loved it! Aren’t they cute?! All you need to make your own jaquin cups are blue paper party cups, scissors, tape, and this jaquin printable from Disney! (<–click to print). When you go to print, scale the printable to about 130%. This enlarges the parts on the cups just enough that fit the cups better. Cut out the wings and the jaquin face. If you want the wings to be wider on the cup, then cut the wings in half and attach separately. Attach wings and head on to the cup with tape and that’s it. Super easy! It was so fun to surprise the boys with these! They were SO excited about them – both the jaquin cups and the churro popcorn, of course! Then, they couldn’t wait to sit down to watch an episode of Elena of Avalor with their treat cups.
New Disney Junior episodes premiere each “FRiYAY” morning this summer on the Disney Channel between 6am and 10am. Be sure to tune into the next new episode on June 30th with “Wizard in Training”. When Mateo takes on an apprentice, but learns that teaching is harder than it looks when the young girl misuses magic and creates a water spirit.

Sounds like an epic adventure – something I know my boys will enjoy! So, make some churro popcorn, flying jaquin cups, and tune into Disney Junior for your own special summer fun! The churro popcorn is SO easy to make! And tastes almost as good as the real thing. Almost. With just 5 ingredients, it’s SO easy to whip up a batch to enjoy anytime! YUM!!!!
