DIY Dr. Seuss PuzzleWelcome to Day 1 of our Dr. Seuss Craft Lightning week! During this week, a group of creative bloggers and I will be be sharing fun Dr. Seuss-inspired projects that can all be completed in 15 minutes or less (minus drying time)! First up, is this super easy Dr. Seuss puzzle! Dr. Seuss Craft Stick PuzzleMaking these craft stick puzzles is SO easy! All you need are some wooden sticks (popsicle sticks), Mod Podge & paintbrush, Dr. Seuss images of your choice, and an X-Acto knife! If you have a book falling apart, you could even cut out some book pages. Or, you can just find whatever image(s) you like online (that’s what I did). Then, you’ll cut your image(s) to fit the width of the sticks. The longer the image, the harder the puzzle – so keep that in mind when you’re creating and choosing images! Mod Podge Dr. Seuss PuzzleFigure out how many sticks you need to to fit the image exactly. This print needed 15. So, line all the sticks up so their edges are touching. Then, spread a very thin layer of Mod Podge to the back of the image. Set that side on the sticks. Then, paint a thin layer of Mod Podge over the image and the sticks. Let dry. Once fully dry, use an X-ACTO knife to cut the sticks apart! Popsicle stick craftAnd, that’s it! Once the sticks are cut apart, you have a simple Dr. Seuss puzzle! It’s a great quiet activity for kids to do – perfect for keeping in a baggie in your purse even!
