Hello Mom Endeavors readers! I’m back today sharing with you my Thanksgiving Hostess Gift guide! The last few years my family and I have spent Thanksgiving with friends who so graciously open their home to us. It’s such a special invitation and blessing to use since we don’t have family close to spend the holiday with friends.Every year I love to bring a long a hostess gift as a way of saying thank you for having us into their home!
A few tips I like to stick to; buy something they maybe wouldn’t normally buy for themselves. It doesn’t have to be big or expensive, but put some thought into it. Wrap it pretty, everyone loves pretty packaging. And, last but not least never bring flowers! If you bring flowers, your host is going to say thank you and how pretty they are then she’s going to lay them on the counter and forget about them because she’s busy getting the meal ready and tending to guests. Give her something she can really enjoy.
Since in most cases the wife if the one spending a lot of energy that day getting her home together, and making the meal all my gift suggestions are pretty girly and just for her. Now, let’s get to list! I love these pretty notebooks from Paper Source. They come in a pack of three– perfect for all those notes around the holidays and Christmas lists. I love this hand cream, and it’s perfect to put on after washing all those dishes! A fun mug is always a great gift for the hostess who loves coffee & tea. These inital mugs from Anthropologie are perfect! This gold elephant from Target is also one of my faves, perfect for the home loving hostess. If you live where it’s cold this time of year, a fun scarf is always nice to give to your hostess. I like this chunky knit one from Target. Every host should have a nice water pitcher, this one from Crate & Barrel is a favorite. A fun candle is always perfect to bring to add some ambiance and sparkle. I like this amber one from Paper Source. And, last but not least, for you beauty loving friend, these gold makeup limited edition brushes are really fun.
