Joovy Ultralight Caboose Compact Tandem StrollerWe just returned from our first international trip with 3 little ones (ages 7, 4, and just over 2) in tow. We had a cross-country red eye flight and a 12 hour layover in Miami. Then, we had another flight to reach our Turks & Caicos destination. And while normally we don’t bring a lot of large baby gear on flights (like strollers, car seats, etc), we felt like a stroller was going to be a MUST on this trip. Bulky, heavy strollers though are not usually allowed to be gate checked – especially not on international flights. Thankfully, we found the perfect solution in the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Tandem Stroller that we were sent for review! Joovy Caboose Ultralight Tandem StrollerAt just 21.8 pounds, the Caboose Ultralight is FAR lighter than typical double strollers. It was PERFECT for us while navigating through airports, through cities, and at resorts! As a parent, I loved that there is a parent organizer (with cup holders), a decent sized basket underneath, AND a large canopy. I also loved the adjustable foot rest & snack tray on the front seat!! SO nice!! Those features are sometimes missing (especially on more compact strollers), so they were very appreciated here! And, it’s compact size made it especially great for traveling! It fit through every door and folded really nicely – especially for a double stroller! We had NO problems gate checking it on any of our 4 flights (including the international ones). Here it is at one of the gates: Compact Double Stroller for FlyingWhat makes this stroller especially awesome though is that it is so compact AND is tandem! The kids absolutely LOVED the novelty of the rear platform area where they could choose to sit or stand! In the first photo above, you can see that Big Brother (7) was happy to get a little ride on our nature walk at Vizcaya in Miami. At the airport, the area was used for sitting and standing! Joovy Caboose UlralightThe freedom to choose whether to sit or stand was such a novelty for the boys! It’s such an awesome feature about this stroller. And…when the kids aren’t using it, it works beautifully for helping transport bags in the airport! ūüėČ Family Travel Stoller at AirportThat picture above cracks me up with all the personal carry-on items all over the stroller! Really, I think this stroller is a definite “win-win” for both parents and kids. I highly recommend it if you’re traveling and need something for multiple kids! But, really, as an “everyday” stroller, this is fantastic! Whether it’s walking the mall, a walk through the neighborhood, a trip to the zoo, or an international flight – the Joovy Ultralight is a GREAT stroller for families with two or more kids!

The stroller currently comes in four color choices, which you can purchase from or on Amazon (last I checked there was a good sale there)! We have SO many other Joovy products that we love like the Scooter X2, Cocoon X2, and Foocot! So, be sure to keep up with the latest news, deals, and products by following along with Joovy on facebook and twitter.

What feature(s) would YOU like best about the Caboose Ultralight?

  1. It’s so hard to find a double stroller that isn’t an absolutely beast to carry and maneuver. I love that Joovy added so many awesome features in a compact package! I recommended this stroller to a friend several months ago and she has been thrilled with her purchase.

  2. I’m actually in the market for a new double stroller, and have been looking at this one! Love all the features, especially how slim it folds down.
