Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Photos: ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey Set Visit #ABCFamilyEvent

As part of the #IntoTheWoodsEvent & #ABCFamilyEvent media trip last month, 24 bloggers and I had the pleasure of visiting the sets of some hit ABC Family TV Shows, including Melissa & Joey. The show stars some favorites from my childhood, like Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence! Before our tour, we were able to screen the season premiere episode (which airs Wednesday, January 14th at 8/7c). No spoilers here, but I think you’ll be laughing a lot! I’d been on a television set before (for news channels), but never for a fun tv show with a set like this before. It is SO fun to see how a whole house is set up there…yet it really isn’t a whole house. 😉  It’s amazing all the lights, cameras, and crew that goes into making a show like this possible! After talking with the stars (more on those interviews in another post…), we had so much fun exploring the set. My favorite part was checking out all the little details, like the photos in the picture frames, the notes on the fridge and desk message boards, etc…Details are SO important and it’s all there on the set, right down to pencils, paper clips, the placement of cups, and even the contents of the refrigerator (which was mostly filled with fake food 😉 )! I loved spotting the World Market dipping oils  on the counter and I LOVE the red salt & pepper shakers! Those would be perfect in my kitchen!It was also fun to look at the books on the shelves in the living room, plus all the decorative pieces (throw pillows, candles, baskets, vases, etc)! Some of us may have been seeing what brands things were! So fun! While on the set, we also had the pleasure of getting photos taken with Melissa Joan Hart & Joey Lawrence. They were kind enough to take individual photos and a group photo sitting right on the couch! So fun! You can tell they really enjoy the show and working together!
