If you’ve been a reader of the blog for a while, then you know that some of my favorite creative things to make are “fun foods” (aka edible crafts). So, with spring officially here and Easter fast-approaching, I thought it would be cute to make a little spring centerpiece. This one features some fun & easy marshmallow flowers!
This project was SO quick & simple to do! It took less than 15 minutes to make and is a cute way to display some of your favorite Easter candy as well. For this project you need just a few simple supplies.
To make your own marshmallow flowers candy centerpiece, you’ll need large fruit-flavored marshmallows (6 marshmallows per flower), 1 Ib. jordan almonds (or other candy of choice), 1 small clear vase, wooden skewers & toothpicks. I found my supplies (minus the vase) at Smart & Final.
To start, add the candy to the vase. You really could use any candy that you want. I wanted something in pastel/Easter-like colors and these First Street Jordan Almonds were perfect. To make it a little more fun, the boys and I sorted by color to add rows of different colors.
Once the candy is in, then make your marshmallow flowers. These are SO easy to do! It just involves placing the marshmallows on the wooden skewers and toothpicks! Here’s a visual:
For each flower, you need 1 skewer, two toothpicks, and 6 marshmallows. For the toothpicks in the center, I just broke them in half. Super easy! If you find that the marshmallows are separating from one another and you don’t want to see any of the toothpicks, you could always use a small dot of icing or melted white/colored chocolate to help hold everything together. I didn’t do that though and the separation wasn’t too bad. You can just barely see the toothpick peeking out in just one a couple of spots.
Make as many marshmallow flowers as you’d like. Then, stick them into your vase full of candy. That’s it! Super easy, cute, and entirely edible (just be careful of the toothpicks and pointy skewers, especially with little ones)!
Perfect for spring parties or Easter festivities! If you’d prefer to go for a more healthy edible centerpiece, then check out my edible spring fruit bouquet!
Do you make any fun foods for spring or Easter?

Oh my gosh! I want to try this. It’s too cute! But I have never seen the colored marshmellows before.
Oh my stars Sara…holy cuteness! I swear this is the cutest thing I’ve seen for the Spring season so far. Great job and thanks for sharing!

That’s super cute! What a fun little centerpiece … it would be really great for a kids’ party! Thanks for linking up at Project Inspire{d}!
Hello, I just love this idea. I’m actually thinking about doing this for a baptism lunch. Can you tell me what size vase you used? I am guessing 6 inch, but I want to make sure before I order any.
Thanks
Hi Tracy! I’m so sorry! I honestly don’t remember (and can’t seem to find the vase right now). It’s not too big. Maybe 4″ across and 6″ high at most. I got it at IKEA.
