This easy basketball party post has been compensated by Collective Bias, INC., The Coca-Cola® Company, and NABISCO, all opinions are mine alone. #TheWinningBasket #CollectiveBias It’s March which means it’s time for the always fun & crazy college basketball tournament! We love any excuse to get together with friends and have a party! So all the basketball mania this time of year is perfect for a party! And with just a few fun supplies, it’s easy to throw together a fun basketball themed party!
Basketball Party Food
That’s a look at some of the supplies I picked up at Target! I love serving a variety of snacks & munchies for parties – things that are easy to handle and tend to be well-liked by most people! I also like a mix of sweet & salty things. So, I bought an assortment of RITZ® Crackers, RITZ Crisp & Thins Chips (these are SUPER tasty by the way if you haven’t had them), WHEAT THINS Snacks, OREO® Cookies, Coca-Cola® Classic, and Coca-Cola® Zero Sugar to help score a winning basket for our party! I love using the Cartwheel Offers to help save money, like the 25% off deal on many of the products I bought!
The RITZ Crisp & Thins Chips are sooo good. They’re the perfect easy snack solution to grab right out of the bowl. So that’s just what we did with those for the party! And you can’t go wrong with bacon flavor for a sports-watching party! We also served up some RITZ® Crackers and “basketball” cheese!
SO simple and so cute! All I did was cut slices of cheese with a small circle cutter and serve them up on a platter with a spread of RITZ® Crackers! The little circle cheeses are perfect for RITZ® Crackers toppers!
Basketball Buffalo Chicken Dip
For something of a little more substance, we also served up a delicious buffalo chicken dip! I think it’s perfect for basketball party when you serve it in a round dish – especially when you top it with cheddar cheese to make it an orange circle!
Here’s the easy recipe:
Basketball Buffalo Chicken Dip
Ingredients
- - 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- - 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- - 1/4 cup sour cream
- - 1/4 cup ranch dressing or bleu cheese if you prefer
- - 1/3 cup hot buffalo sauce
- - 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Spread cream cheese on the bottom of a round baking dish.
- In small mixing bowl, combine chicken, sour cream, ranch, & hot sauce.
- Spread chicken mixture over the cream cheese layer. Then, top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 until heated through and the cheese has melted.
- Serve with WHEAT THINS Snacks, celery or other vegetables.
You’ve gotta have a little sweet at the party too! So, I made some fun & easy basketball cupcakes with the OREO® Cookies! (<–click over to get all the directions for that). They’re easy to make, festive, and super yum! I love how cute things like this double as some themed “decor” too!
Serve it all up with some Coca-Cola® Classic and Coca-Cola® Zero Sugar (my personal favorite) and you’ve got yourself a great little party! They both pair well with everything being served and look fun sitting in drink buckets!
Slam dunk, right?! Everyone around here loved everything! Grab a basketball plate, some munchies, and enjoy the college basketball madness that happens every March! So fun!
