Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America Day is right around the corner. And what a better way to celebrate than with some fun craft & recipe ideas! I’ve teamed up with a few blogging friends to bring you a bunch of Seusstastic ideas, starting with this pink ink drink. Then, continue on to the bottom of this post, where you’ll find over 40 fun Seuss-inspired ideas!
And now, how about some pink ink drink?! This is what the Yink (of One fish, Two Fish) likes to drink! So, why not make some of the Yink’s pink ink drink while you read? The boys LOVED this! A fun, healthy treat while reading! For a healthy pink ink drink, I recommend making a pink smoothie! (Side note: I don’t know what’s up with the lighting in the photos, but it really looked even more pink in person!) Using strawberries or raspberries are perfect for making a pink ink drink. For our pink ink smoothie, here’s what I put together:
Dr. Seuss Fun Food Recipe: Healthy Pink Ink Drink
Ingredients
- 1 C coconut water
- 6-8 oz. greek yogurt I used strawberry flavor
- 2 C frozen strawberries
- handful of ice
- *optional - juice from 1 orange
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until well combined. Add a fun straw for added Seuss fun!
Yummy! Serve it up with some “One fish, two fish popcorn munch” for an extra treat! It’s another fun way to make books come alive, just like all the fun projects below! You’re sure to find a fun project to do to celebrate reading & Dr. Seuss! Enjoy!!
