We kicked off summer this week with fun playdates! It’s great having fun things planned over the summer – and even better when the fun involves some good friends, good food, and creative activities! The best part is that with just a few “special” items you can turn a simple get-together into an “Ultimate Playdate”! We picked up a few items for our playdate (like the Juicy Juice products) at Walmart.
Right now (through September), there are specially marked packages of Juicy Juice products delivering up to $3 off coupons savings on toddler and kid appropriate Crayola products such as Color Wonder and My First Crayola. Additionally, there are $1 off Juicy Juice Instant Redeemable Coupons applied to specially marked packages of Crayola Color Wonder and My First Crayola products. All those products are GREAT for playdates and we had some out at our party!
We had a healthy snack spread with hummus, crackers, carrots, fresh watermelon, and individual Juicy Juice boxes. Then, we also build-your-own fresh fruit popsicle bar with Juicy Juice apple juice and different types of fresh fruit! The kids LOVED this!
Make your own fresh fruit popsicles
The popsicles tasted great with the Juicy Juice apple juice! And, with our quick pop maker, we were able to make fresh fruit popsicles in no time! These pops were a delicious, healthy frozen treat that the kids loved– perfect for cooling off in our hot Arizona weather!
We also had more frozen fun outside with ice paints (which also looked like paint popsicles 😉 )!!
Ice Painting
Such a fun activity! I’ll share a full tutorial for this is an upcoming post. But, the whole process was pretty easy! Just some Crayola washable tempera paints & water that the kids had a lot of fun with! The whole idea of “frozen paint” was SO neat to them! Definitely a “cool” way to get creative in the summer!
Coloring with Crayola Color Wonder
It’s amazing how something as simple as coloring can keep the kids creatively occupied for a LONG time! With the magic of the Crayola Color Wonder products, the kids were even more into it! I love having activities at playdates where the kids are engaged on their own, leaving the moms some down time to chat! SO nice!! After all that fun, we had a simple & yummy lunch, complete with their Juicy Juice boxes (which are always a hit with the kids)!
And, last but not least, a simple or gift is always nice at a party or playdate. So, everyone went home with a little sidewalk chalk–perfect a creating some colorful summer fun!
So much fun! Not a lot of work and not a lot of money invested, yet a whole lot of summer fun!
