Christmas Tree Veggie TrayAs an appetizer for holiday parties or a fun side for Christmas dinner, why not make a Christmas tree veggie tray?! At Thanksgiving we’ve had fun with a turkey veggie tray, so I thought we needed a Christmas-themed one too! It’s a much more fun way to eat your veggies, don’t you think? And, this Christmas veggie tray is easy to make too!

Christmas Tree Veggie AppetizerTo make this Christmas tree veggie tray, I used 2 small heads of broccoli, a few stalks of celery, a few carrots, some red bell pepper, some yellow bell pepper, and some grape tomatoes. Obviously, you can swap out what you’d like to use for the tree decorations to suit your tastes or whatever you have on hand. The star could easily be done with cheese instead of yellow pepper as well.  Making a Christmas tree veggie trayTo put the veggie tray together, I started with cut celery stalks on a platter to give a basic outline for the tree shape. It helped having some “branches/stems” for the tree to keep the broccoli in place. Then, I cut the broccoli heads and started placing the cut florets around the “stems” to start looking like a Christmas tree. Broccoli Christmas TreeOnce you have the tree shape the way you like, all that’s left to do is decorate the tree! Again, you can use whatever you like or whatever you have on hand. I cut a star out of a yellow bell pepper for the tree topper. Then, chunks of bell pepper and carrots were the ornaments. And, for garland, I cut strips of red bell pepper. The end result is a cute, edible Christmas tree!
