(As a #ShakleeBlogger, this post is part of a sponsored campaign with Shaklee). I’m officially down more than 20 pounds since I embarked on some healthier endeavors earlier this year! Woot! But, that hasn’t been without struggle. In fact, in the past few months with the Shaklee 180 program, I’ve had some ups & downs and at times have not done a good job with staying motivated or sticking to the plan. After trying to get things really going again, I was finding that I was a little bored with the same meal replacements and snacks. Instead of giving up, I decided to try some new things and do variations of the Shaklee products I’d already been using. One thing I decided to try was turning my Shaklee smoothies into a fun snack – protein smoothie pops! Protein Smoothie PopsiclesSuper awesome!!! I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner! At only about 60 calories each, they are an awesome snack. I can still enjoy a popsicle with the kids, but one that is full of protein and not full of sugar and calories! It’s definitely a fun twist on a protein shake! For these, I used my favorite Shaklee 180 smoothie recipe,  but I’m sure you could use just about any recipe you like! To make, I just did a “double batch” of a smoothie I would normally make.Shaklee 180 SmoothieI had about 24 ounces of smoothie (made from 2 Cups almond milk, 4 scoops Shaklee 180 smoothee mix (two scoops chocolate, two scoops vanilla), 1 banana, 2 T PB2 Peanut Butter Powder and a handful of ice). With the popsicle maker I have, that yield about 10 pops. So, that’s only about 60 calories per pop!! How’s that for an awesome, low-calorie snack?! They are perfect for summer!!
