Well, we’ve got a fun idea with these little mason jar pie trifles. Yes, I know by definition a trifle would have something “cake-like” in it. BUT…why not pie? Pie is a holiday dessert staple, so why not change it up a little with pie trifle? Hello, YUM – especially tasty and super easy with Marie Callender’s® dessert pies and Reddi-wip® (we snagged a great deal on this too at our local Kroger store – see below for details)!  marie-callendersMmmm! I think this trifle idea would be fabulous with ANY pie, but we went with the Marie Callender’s® Pumpkin Pecan Streusel and Dutch Apple varieties! Those flavors seem especially perfect for Thanksgiving! So, they’re perfect for your pie trifles. You’ll start by baking the pies according to package directions. Then, whether it’s your leftover pies for Thanksgiving or your fresh pies, you’ll start making the jar trifles by putting a small layer of pie inside the bottom of each jar.

YUM! pie-trifleThen, you’ll repeat those steps, ending with a nice beautiful swirl of Reddi-Wip® right on top. If you give it a nice swirl as it comes out, with a generous amount, the whipped cream almost becomes a beautiful flowery top to make your mini trifle jars look extra pretty!

And that’s it! So easy and a fun twist on a classic dessert! Sometimes it’s just fun to switch things up for a change. You could even add a little tag to each jar and use these little pie trifles as “name cards” for the table! So fun!

You can find Marie Callender’s Dessert Pies and Reddi-wip® products in a Kroger or Kroger banner store near you. Kroger banners include Dillons, King Soopers, Frys, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, QFC, Smiths, and Harris Teeter.
