DIY Neutral Woodland Holiday WreathNow that we’re into November, it’s full holiday prep mode around here. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s…they’re all right around the corner. So, the Halloween decór has come down and I’m getting things ready for the holidays. In fact, as a Lowe’s Creative Ideas blogger, the November challenge is all about holiday prep and creative projects to get the house “holiday ready”. And, I think one of the easiest projects to start prepping your home for the holidays and welcoming holiday guests is a welcoming wreath. Rustic Poinsettia Holiday WreathLowe’s had a fabulous selection of holiday floral/decor picks which is where I found all the elements you see on the wreath (the grapevine wreath base I already had at home). Additionally, it’s clear that there is definitely a trend of more rustic/woodland/natural Christmas decor. I loved so many of the options! Lowe's Holiday decorWhat’s extra great about many of these more neutral-toned items is that they obviously work perfectly for Fall and Thanksgiving, but could actually carry you through the whole holiday season. So, that was my goal. I picked up the sort of shimmery taupe burlap poinsettias, a sparkly gold pinecone bunch, a dark brown “berry” bunch, and a silver “berry” bunch. Then, I also happened to fall in love with the little owl ornaments. Seriously, so CUTE! Fall Holiday Wreath SuppliesThe colors look perfect on the grapevine wreath base. And, that base makes it very easy to weave in the wire off the floral picks. Putting together the wreath was easy – just separating the different stems and clipping off the pieces I wanted to use. I LOVE the neutral colors with the glitter! It’s the perfect mix for me of rustic charm and sparkly holiday pizzazz. Making a rustic holiday wreathJust with the floral picks, I think the wreath looks really nice – and truly one that could work the next few months. But, I just fell in love with the little woodland owl and I could resist using one on the wreath. He’s just too cute and gives such a fun Fall feel to the wreath. So, I added it on. Maybe he’ll come off for Christmas, but for now we all think he’s a cute way to greet our Fall guests! Owl wreathI love the way it all came together and am looking forward to continuing to get the house all ready for the holidays! I think it might serve as some inspiration for some other more rustic/natural holiday decór this year! Rustic Holiday Wreath

  1. I love those owl ornaments! I did a bright pink/purple/blue candy themed tree last year, but this wreath is making me want to pull out my woodland collection again!
