Candy Cane Reindeer {Easy Kids Craft Ornament}

Do you have a favorite craft this time of year? One of mine is candy cane reindeer! It’s a great Christmas craft to do with the kids and they love them!!
I featured these a couple of year’s ago in a post about a whole bunch of homemade ornaments, but I love them so much that I thought they deserved their own post! Candy cane reindeer bring back fond memories of making them with my grandparents as a kid! Their church used to have a special night they took me to & I vividly remember making candy cane reindeer with them there. In fact, up until a couple of years ago (when the candy canes finally broke), I still had some of the reindeer I had made with them as a kid!
To make your candy cane reindeer, you need some candy canes, brown pipe cleaners, pom-poms, googly eyes, any other embellishments you’d like (bows, bells, etc.), and hot glue. If your kids are too young to make these all by themselves (like mine), then get out all the supplies and let your kiddos make choices about the reindeer’s look. They can choose what size/color nose, what kind of antlers, and what other embellishments to add, like bows or bells, etc.
Big Brother is quite in to the original Rudolph movie. So, we made “Rudolph & Clarice”.  But, now they’re beging to make all of Santa’s reindeer so I think we might end up with a tree full of these guys! :) Fun!
