With being University of Nebraska alums and having family that lives in Nebraska, we’re in Omaha at least once or twice a year (we’re actually in Omaha as I type this!). In fact, many times on the blog, I’ve shared our favorite family friendly activities in Omaha. Two of our absolute favorite places are the Henry Doorly Zoo & the Omaha Children’s Museum. Even if you don’t live in the immediate Omaha area, it really is worth making a family vacation out of it as there are some great things to do! I wrote a whole family travel Omaha visitor’s guide for Family Vacation Critic in case you’re planning a trip! So…now to the fun part…

I love the ZOO! Omaha is only a 4 hour drive for us. This would be fun to take the 2 grandsons to Omaha or Give DS the prize 😉
Would love to visit the zoo again. I heard they have lots of new “babies” including lion cubs and a new baby giraffe.
We just moved to Lincoln from Washington and the Henry Doorly zoo has been on our short list of attractions to see for the entire time we have been here.
Did you pick a winner?
Thank you very much for selecting me as the winner. We are only an hours drive from Omaha. I responded to your email notification.
