- Donate money. Please consider donating money to Tourism Cares or Hispanic Federation, where 100% of donations are going to affected areas!
- Book Caribbean Travel. By visiting the Caribbean, you can help local economies (which can help with disaster relief). While some islands aren’t yet recovered and ready to receive guests, you can support the economies of the other islands by booking vacations there. Although many destinations where affected, a large percentage of the Caribbean was not impacted (the entirety of the Caribbean spans about 1 million square miles), or minimally impacted, by recent hurricanes. The Dominican Republic is a good example. Although Dominica, a similarly sounding island, sustained major damage, the Dominican Republic was largely unscathed. Punta Cana in the Dominican was not affected by hurricanes, so there is no reason to hesitate booking your winter vacation there!
