I understand that, Amy! The fruit leather is sold in numerous stores here in AZ. I've purchased them at Costco Sprouts (so I'm guessing they might be at other healthy food stores like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods). I've also seen them in our local Kroger store in their health food/organic section. And, I saw them today at Winco. Hope that helps!

Hi I saw these on another site with paper, but I'm kind of freaked out about kids trying to eat paper. So where do you find that fruit leather you used? I only see fruit roll ups at the store usually!

In reply to <a href="https://www.momendeavors.com/halloween-oreo-pops-bats-pumpkins/#comment-4189">Lisa L</a>.

Hi Lisa! The Wilton candy melts tend to be thicker in my experience. I typically use a generic store brand or Merckens (bought at a bakery supply store). With that said though, no matter which type you use, sometimes I find that it's easy to coat them with a spoon vs. dipping the oreo in the chocolate. And, sometimes I do have to smooth spots out with clean fingers. :) Hope that helps!

I used Wilton candy melts microwaved in a bowl and had a hard time coating the Oreos. How did you make them coat so evenly and smooth?
