Dr. Seuss Party IdeasMarch 2nd is the birthday of the one and only Dr. Seuss! It also happens to be National Read Across America Day (which will be celebrated tomorrow since Dr. Seuss’ birthday falls on a weekend this year). So, planning a little Dr. Seuss-themed party or playdate to celebrate reading & the fabulous Dr. Seuss is perfect this time of year! Dr. Seuss Party DecorAs a PBS Kids VIP {Very Involved Parent}, I was sent some of the fun party supplies seen above. Put down a red table cloth to start and use your favorite Dr. Seuss books to finish off the table decor. You can find a lot of the supplies at a good price on Amazon (affiliate links) like the Dr. Seuss pencilsCat in the Hat plates, cups, and napkins! They also sent some fun Cat in the Hat bookmarks and activity booklets. I’m going to send those to school with Big Brother to share with his class! Dr. Seuss Birthday PartyFor the food, we kept things really simple in this display. We had this whole fun playdate planned, but the dreaded stomach bug struck in a horrible way and we had to cancel. 🙁 So, I didn’t have everything made yet that I had planned. What you see there are some saltine fish crackers (you know, stomach bug) and the super fun “one fish, two fish” popcorn munch that I had already made for our party. And, “Juju Fish” are absolutely perfect for some Dr. Seuss fun! Dr. Seuss Party FoodThere are so many fun food ideas out there though! You could make Cat in the Hat push pops, Green eggs & ham pancakes, Thing 1 & Thing 2 cupcakes, or even a whole fun Dr. Seuss birthday dinner! You can munch on your fun Dr. Seuss treats while reading your books!
