Gray Fiberglass Front Door

Less than a year ago, we had his beautiful Therma-Tru Benchmark door installed and the change has been huge. If you’d like to see how terrible the door was before, be sure to check out our makeover post here –> front door makeover.Grey Front DoorIt really is better in EVERY way! Not only does the door look SO much nicer, but it’s higher quality and energy efficient! Yes!! We’ve been absolutely thrilled with the results. So as we head into the holiday season this year, I’ve been so excited to show it off with some great decor.

DIY Rustic Floral Fall Wreath

DIY Floral Fall WreathI love the way the fall floral colors and burlap look with the gray door. And it didn’t take much time (or money) to make at all! To create one yourself, you just need a wreath some burlap and ribbon and some fall floral items! How to make a fall wreathI was able to pick everything up at a local craft store. In fact, you can often find inexpensive wreath forms that are already burlap-wrapped. Once you decide on the size and your items, you just need to decide on placement. I’m a fan of wreaths that are a little more simple – without florals wrapping all the way around the wreath. So, that’s what I did with this one. I decided to fill just a little under half of the wreath with the fall florals. Adding in a few different textures helps with the look – like the pinecones and corn husks. DIY Fall Floral Front Door WreathYou just need to attach everything with some hot glue and/or floral wire. Super easy! If you’d like to make things less permanent (like attaching ribbon), you can also use pins in the back as well. I also decided to add a bow to balance things out a bit, but you certainly wouldn’t have to include that if bows aren’t your thing! Fall Front Door WreathWith these neutral fall colors and just a touch of sparkle, this wreath can take us all the way through Thanksgiving until switching out to Christmas decor. I love how well the colors all work together and how the wreath compliments the new door so nicely!
So, go pick up some supplies to make a new, beautiful fall wreath!
