Hi there! I’m Jessa from Sparkle and I’m thrilled that Sara invited me to come and share a Thanksgiving craft with you today!

Everybody knows that Thanksgiving revolves around the table. In order to make that table as pretty as can be, I came up with this Mini Pumpkin Bouquet Place Card project. The great thing about this project is that you can make it way ahead by using a faux pumpkin and faux flowers…or you can make it the night before, using the real deal and just sticking them in the fridge. Additionally there’s a good amount of glitter, so it’ll be lovely reflecting off the candlelight!

Supplies: faux mini pumpkin, X-acto knife, serrated spoon, spray adhesive, glitter, sticks, silk flowers and a name card

Start by going outside and cutting off some bare branches off of trees, about 3 – 4 inches long. Then use the X-acto knife to cut around the stem of the pumpkin.

Use the serrated spoon to dig out the stem from the outline you cut with the X-acto knife.

Take your stemless pumpkin outside and spray the top half with adhesive spray, then pour on the glitter. (I used White Gold by Martha Stewart)

Insert your sticks into the center of the pumpkin. They should stick in the foam, but if they don’t stay, don’t hesitate to use your hot glue gun on the low setting. Then start arranging your flowers between the sticks.

For the actual name card, I used my Silhouette to make the cut out of the name, but if you don’t have a cutting machine, don’t worry. Just print out the name in a fancy font on some cardstock, cut it to a reasonable size and stick it in the branches. Get creative and add lots of glitter! Place them in front of your place settings at the Thanksgiving table and enjoy the sparkles! And eat lots of turkey..and pumpkin pie!

Sara, thank you so much for having me! The Cornucopia of Creativity projects have been amazing so far, and I can’t wait to see the rest!
