While in LA for the #IntoTheWoodsEvent & #ABCFamilyEvent press trip, we had the pleasure of visiting the set of ABC Family’s Baby Daddy. And it was SO much fun! If you’ve seen the show, you know it’s hilarious. And, that’s not just due to good writers! The cast is absolutely fabulous and we had the pleasure of chatting all the stars during our visit! 
We talked with Melissa Peterman (“Bonnie Wheeler” @Followtheblonde) first, and y’all, she is HILARIOUS! Like, just so funny…down to earth, someone who you could hang out & have drinks with all night. She said she’s actually a bit of a “homebody” though, so drinks would have to be at her house! 😉 While we were there her parents actually happened to be visiting the set too and it was the cutest thing. They were taking photos too, clearly so excited and so proud of their daughter. I LOVED it!! In real life, she’s the mom of a boy and on the show she’s the mom of 2 boys, so she talked about how that’s fun! And, on set, she said he does tend to mother them all a bit! 
Next up, Derek Theler (“Danny Wheeler” @DerekTheler) came to chat with us! HELLO! Did you know he went to school to be a doctor?! Then, he changed things up and decided to pursue acting. He was very humble! At first, he said he was really nervous doing the show because he had never done anything like it before. But, now, “it is pure fun”. And, it’s SO obvious as they work so well together! They really do seem to have such a great time together!
Tahj Mowry (“Tucker Dobbs” @Tahj_Mowry) confirmed that when we brought up the chemistry of the cast. “Chelsea and I are like, brother and sister”. In fact, he said that she was just at his house this weekend. And, Melissa lives just a few minutes from him. She said there’s been a couple times where they’ve even carpooled to work! 😉 And, they even do movie dates! “Derek and I like going to movies – we like action movies, superhero type movies”. So, clearly they really do get along well together.
Chelsea Kane (“Riley Perrin” – @ChelseaKane) was such a doll – just so sweet & nice! And, I love that she’s actually from Arizona! How fun is that?! As a crafty girl at heart, I LOVED it when Chelsea shared that she actually makes wine bottle candles as a hobby! Like, she cuts the glass of the wine bottles and makes her own scents, melts the wax, etc. In fact, she told us that she was making them as gifts for the cast & crew for Christmas! So fun! and Melissa Peterman (“Bonnie Wheeler” @Followtheblonde) in-between observing rehearsal and taking a tour of the set!
Something really funny to me about a lot of the cast is that some of them had NEVER held a baby prior to being on the show! That was true for star Jean-Luc Bilodeau (“Ben Wheeler” – @jblives)! He’s still never changed a diaper (hahah), but he said, “doing this show, I think that it’s warmed me up to the idea of having a bigger family than i originally planned on…I’m really good at holding the kids now and playing with them.” It’s good practice for them for parenting down the road! 😉 
Director Michael Lembeck even stopped by for a minute (in between directing scenes). You can really tell his love for the cast and the show. Here, he was doting on Taj, sharing with us that he had been sick (with Strep) all week, but came back to work and just absolutely rocked it! Very classy guys!
They were all just so great & fun! And, they were nice enough to pose for pictures with all of us (group & individual). So fun!
