Unfortunately for us, the weather is still pretty hot here (in Phoenix). But, we have had some fun opportunities to do some outdoor exploring and adventures. We had a few rare days of rain that brought out all kinds of things we normally don’t get to see – raging washes, flooded streets, frogs (not a common site in the desert), and earthworms! 
We LOVED being able to take walks at temperatures below 100 degrees! The boys of course loved being able to explore the water. One of the days though, the water near our house (normally a dry wash) was like a little mini raging river! 
We even made a little boat out of a watermelon rind to see how quickly it would get carried downstream. And, wow, that was crazy (I couldn’t even get a good picture). It was a good lesson for the boys in outdoor safety around moving water! Of all the things we saw on our adventures though, our favorite was the little frogs. When we went out one evening there were tons of them all over. And, then at night we could hear them croaking! So fun!

Frog in the desert, What fun. 🙂 I always loved exploring with the boys. Now we have the Grandsons. AND 2 praying mantis and 3 egg cases on the kitchen table! (Waiting to be relocated at our garden.) I will send you a photo or 2 🙂
