If you following on instagram or twitter, then you’ve likely seen all of our DIY Disney craziness lately! With our trip to Disney World coming up, I could NOT resist doing some DIY outfits for the boys, especially since I’m all about the boys having matching and coordinating as much as possible! Last year around this time, I shared my DIY Disney Crafts Roundup post which ended up being the #1 post of last year! It’s been pinned more than 35,000 times!! WHOA! One of the many projects that I loved from the roundup but hadn’t gotten around to making yet was matching personalized Disney shirts for the boys like these from Random Thoughts of a Supermom. So, since Young House Love issued their spring pinterest challenge…and we’re going to Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, this was the perfect opportunity to make some! Squeee!!! I LOVE them!!!! I’ll be posting more detailed tutorials of some of our Disney projects after the trip (I’m too busy packing & packing to get everything posted right now ), so stay tuned for that. But, overall, the general process was pretty similar to the ones on Random Thoughts of a Supermom. One major difference is that I used iron-on interfacing/fusible webbing for the Mickey heads instead of spray adhesive. So, mine are no-sew! Also, I used a cotton print fabric I found at Hobby Lobby instead of felt. The text was done on my Silhouette using heat-transfer! It was my first time using it and it was SO easy! I couldn’t believe it! I definitely recommend!
My mom (the one with all the sewing skills) has been working on some projects for us too. The boys have matching Star Wars outfits and I’ve got some cute new headbands! Super excited! Needless to say, my mom and I both have been busy!
If you want to see the new clothes in action, be sure to follow along on instagram and/or twitter! I’ll be using the #DisneySMMoms hashtag! Stay tuned for some tutorials coming here on Mom Endeavors and also on Disney Mentor Moms! In the meantime, you can get lots of Disney craft inspiration on the DIY Disney roundup!Pin It
