College Football Saturday Tailgate: Easy DIY Team Spirit Wreath {Huskers Style}

It’s week #2 of the 2012 Col­lege Foot­ball Sat­ur­day Tail­gate Party! How did your team do last week? Our Huskers won hand­ily over South­ern Miss with a super impres­sive offen­sive show­ing. So, we’re eager to see if they can keep that up this week­end against UCLA. It’s an evening game & we’re try­ing out a cou­ple of new tail­gate recipes (tech­ni­cally, home­gat­ing would be the bet­ter descrip­tion).  So I’m hop­ing I’ll have some­thing yummy to share next week. For today though, I have a super easy crafty foot­ball idea with yet another team spirit wreath! There are so many great school spirit wreath ideas out there. I made a rib­bon one last year. But, I found a super cheap wreath form while thrift­ing recently & have lots of Husker fab­ric, so I decided to make one with a dif­fer­ent style.

The process was SUPER easy. I cut 4 strips of my Nebraska fab­ric (found at JoAnn’s) and just wrapped it around the wreath form. To secure it, I used hot glue. Once you have your wreath wrapped the way you like, embell­ish it up a bit. I used a painted wood foot­ball and a team-themed rib­bon to hang it–again, just secured with hot glue. And, that’s it! SUPER easy! The whole thing took me less than 30 min­utes (and cost me less than $5)!  Love those quick, easy, and inex­pen­sive projects!
