Like lions??!! (Sorry, couldn’t resist putting in this photo from our trip to the San Diego Safari Park last week). I hap­pen to love them (and all kinds of other exotic safari/jungle type crea­tures). So, it prob­a­bly comes as no sur­prise that I absolutely LOVE the movie, The Lion King! Before I knew all about the whole Dis­ney Vault stuff, I missed pur­chas­ing The Lion King on DVD and since have been anx­iously await­ing it’s release. Well, this fall, I’m not only get­ting a DVD release (Octo­ber 4th), but a re-release of the film in the­aters! And, the release is not just the nor­mal film, but in 3D!!! Actu­ally, I’m not an overly huge fan of 3D, but we had the plea­sure of see­ing the pre­view for this at the Cars 2 screen­ing and it seemed SO cool! The Lion King 3D will be a spe­cial TWO WEEKS ONLY re-release event, begin­ning on Sep­tem­ber 16th!
Don’t you just LOVE that music?! I do–and I love that begin­ning sequence with all the ani­mals! Goose­bumps! I remem­ber being SO excited to see The Lion King in the­aters when it first debuted (we saw it at the orig­i­nal Cine Capri for those of you famil­iar). I loved it then (still have the cd sound­track I bought at the time) and I can’t wait to have Big Brother expe­ri­ence it on the big screen! So, I am beyond excited about the advanced screen­ing of the film next Sat­ur­day. Even better?.…
