Ingredients
2cupssteel cut oats
4cupswater
2cupsmilk
115 ounce can of pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
1TBSPpumpkin pie spice
1TBSPpure vanilla extract
1/2tsppinch of salt
1/4 - 1/2Cbrown sugar
Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a large slow cooker, stir, set to low and cook for 6-8 hours.
Stir the oatmeal mixture well and serve. Add additional add-ins for desired consistency (add milk), desired sweetness (add more brown sugar or pure maple syrup), and desired flavor (you could add in chopped pecans, raisins, dried cranberries, cinnamon, etc).
Notes
A few notes: - Steel cut oats really are the only oats recommended for this recipe - You do NOT have to use milk, you can substitute the milk for water if desired
