Ingredients
1brick of cream cheese8 oz
1tspEl Yucateco Hot Sauce
1.5TBSPtaco seasoning
2cans16 oz refried beans
1Cshredded cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, taco seasoning, and hot sauce. Stir in refried beans and 1/2 cup cheese until well mixed.
Transfer mixture to a baking pan or cast iron skillet and top with the remaining shredded cheese. Bake for 10-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbly.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
*If you're concerned about the spice level, you can start by adding the hot sauce in 1/4 tsp amounts. We think it's perfect at about 1 tsp. Not super spicy, but still a little kick. The kids all like it at this level. For something really mild, do 1/2 tsp. If you want it spicier, you can increase the heat as desired. *For the cheese, we prefer a Mexican cheese blend with cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. But really, you can use anything you'd like.
