Crock Pot Peach CrispYou guys- I can’t even tell you how amazing the house smells while this peach crisp is cooking! YUuuummmmmm! Just dump a few ingredients in the slow cooker and just walk away! So, I had to stock up and make some tasty treats for at home like this!

Making Flourless Peach Crisp

Any kind of fruit crisp dessert is a popular one around here! I actually much prefer a crisp to a cobbler, personally. For those not sure of the difference – a cobbler traditionally uses a biscuit or cake-like topping over the fruit, whereas a crisp is more of a streusel-like topping made with oats. The crisps always seem a little more nutritious/healthier to me, especially when I make the the crisp topping with no white flour! Gluten Free Peach CrispYUM! And when made this way, this recipe can easily be gluten free (as long as you use true gluten free oats). When you combine the rolled oats, oat flour, and some sliced almond pieces – you’ve got the base for a fabulous gluten-free crisp!

Though fruit crisps are typically baked in the oven, they’re totally doable in the slow cooker. The topping doesn’t get quite as crispy, but it still cooks up nicely and tastes delicious! So, I love slow cooker recipes like this (especially during the hotter months) to avoid heating up the house! Easy peasy! Crock Pot Peach CrumbleTo make things even easier, I don’t even peel the peaches for this and think the end result still is absolutely delicious. If you are really bothered by the skins, you certainly can take the time to peel them. But everyone in my family eats it just like this – the boys LOVE this recipe! And I love saving the time to not have to spend extra time peeling the peaches – plus we get a little extra nutrients and fiber for the win! Slow Cooker Peach Crisp Gluten FreeSo, if you’ve got some fresh peaches to use up or find a great sale, I highly recommend making some delicious peach crisp in your crock pot!
