I LOVE garlic bread! Anyone else with me on that?! My mom and I have been known to make some pretty mean garlic bread (<— that recipe is our “famous” family favorite), but the way we usually do it is a bit time consuming. For our party this weekend, I wanted something faster and easier. So, I made a parmesan garlic butter that could just be spread right on the bread & baked. And, it was SO good! parmesan garlic breadWhile picking up some items at Walmart (you can see my shopping experience here on Google+) for our little get-together, I found some Bake at Home Ecce Panis bread. It was perfect for a quick, yet fresh-baked taste–and for putting my garlic butter spread on!

Parmesan Garlic Butter Spread

Ingredients:

– 2 sticks softened butter

– ¼ C shredded parmesan

– 1 TBS minced garlic

– 2 tsp grated parmesan

If you like your garlic bread more plain, stop there. If you like it a bit more savory, then add 2 sprigs fresh rosemary (or dried if you don’t have fresh) & a dash of Italian seasoning. I made it plain, then separated the recipe in half and added the herbs to one half.

You can whip this up in no time! And, the best part is that you can just keep the extras in the fridge for future garlic bread making endeavors! Basically, you just need to combine all the ingredients! 🙂 I started with the butter in a dish and added in the garlic + the varieties of Parmesan cheese. Because that kids don’t like the herbs on their garlic bread, I made the whole batch plain. Then, I took out about half & added the fresh rosemary (from our garden) & Italian seasoning. It barely even took 5 minutes to make and we ended up with two bowls of super yummy Parmesan garlic butter bread spread (the extras of which are now happily residing in the fridge)! The process of using it on the bread was simple. First, I baked the bread according to the package directions. It’s so nice that the Ecce Panis bread I found was bake at home, but was ready in less than 10 minutes! Once that was baked, I cut both loaves in half (vertically). Then, I slathered them up with the garlic butter spreads–two halves with the seasoned version and two halves with the plain. Then, I baked it  for a few more minutes until everything started bubbling & browning. So good!!
