Now that Labor Day has come & gone, it’s officially “school season”. With some having been back to school for a few weeks (or more even) and the rest starting today, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some fun lunch ideas! No matter what age your kiddos are or what type of school you do (and really, even if the kids aren’t even in school yet), it is so easy to get into a lunchtime rut. But, the good thing is, it’s also so easy to make a creative meal to break the routine and make lunchtime a bit more fun! Here are a few ideas and resources to get you started! I started doing some creative lunches last year for Big Brother and every single time I did them, he LOVED it! Here are a couple favorites:
Once you have an idea of what you’d like to do, they really don’t take that much longer than normal to prepare! If you’d like to do fun “Bento” style lunches like this, I really recommend having a good divider container. My favorite is Easy Lunch Boxes! We got our Easy LunchBoxes just after Christmas last year and they have been GREAT! Not only are they perfect for fun, creative lunches for the kiddos, but Mr. Mom Endeavors takes his lunch in one almost every single day! They’re awesome! See?…Perfect for dads too! 🙂
Brittney from The Poe Fam uses them for a lot of her fun lunches too! And, boy does she have some cute lunches! Her oldest guy is right about the same age as Big Brother and the creative preschool lunches she made for him are SO cute! I love her themed notes too! You’ve gotta check it out!

Of course, another creative mealtime idea (good for lunches at home or any meal of the day) are muffin tin meals! Just this simple change up to the normal routine can really help get the kids to eat a good (& fun), well-balanced meal! These were some of our favorites from last year!
Leaf Lunch, Shapes Meal, Halloween Themed Lunch, Thanksgiving Themed Dinner, Christmas Themed Breakfast!
