‘Tis the season for all things love, flowers, and chocolate! I bet many of you will be giving or receiving some (and probably eating some too 😉 ) in the next few days! And, one particular little chocolate always seems perfect this time year… Hershey’s KISSES! In fact, this Valentine’s Day, Hershey’s wants to know what your sweetest Hershey’s KISSES memory is!
One memory came to mind immediately, but it’s not “my” own. One of my friends in high school was asked to prom with a bucket of Hershey’s Kisses. One of the white “KISSES” tags was replaced with a “Will you go to prom with me?” tag instead! Super cute! But, my own sweetest Kisses memory is of my grandparents house. This past weekend, I spent time with my parents, uncle, and cousin, going through my Grandmas things as we prepared to move her into a memory care unit due to her Alzheimer’s. While the situation is so sad, it was really special going through her things and reminiscing about her & my grandpa (he died just before my high school graduation). When I was a kid, we spent a lot of time at their house, especially around the holidays. I remember there almost always being Hershey’s KISSES in special little glass dishes and candy jars. Special little treats at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. My favorites were once the almond ones came out! Mmmm!
Here’s a little history of those cute little KISSES:

Our family visited Hershey, PA and loved the factory tour!
I’ve always wanted to go there! Sounds SO fun! In fact, my grandparents went when I was a kid and brought back Hershey’s KISSES playing cards! We loved playing with those! 🙂
My daughter and her father have a special bond as well as a song…Butterfly kisses … one year she made up a tin full of Hershey;s kisses as butterflies for her Dad … what better gift from a daughter to her father
Awww!!! That is a beautiful idea! Love it!!
I remember sneaking kisses when we were making the peanut butter kiss cookies as a child.
I received cookies made with a Hershey’s Kisses on top.
A few weeks before Christmas, I bought Hershey’s Kisses for a cookie recipe, when I began to make them, I discovered the Hershey’s Kisses were gone. My hubby ate them, so he had to get me more, lol 🙂
I remember when I was in elementary school that I won a giant sized Hershey kiss as part of the Valentines celebration. I can remember getting home and me and my brother getting out a knife to chop off pieces to eat. Then I remember the disappointment when we found out that this giant Hershey kiss was actually hollow. This was especially troubling for my brother because there was no longer enough chocolate for me to share!!!
My stepmom and I used to make cookies with Hershey’s kisses on top when I was a kid.
On Feb. 2011 I wanted to do a Valentine Party for my husband’s grandchildren and mine. I was going to make cupcakes with a surprise kiss inside, Different to this he got ill and the Party decorations for the walls I purchase were converted in the words WE LOVE YOU, and placed for he to see it from the bed. His liver and kidney stop working, it got us all by surprise. I did the cupcakes and my daughter gave him a single chocolate kiss, which he ate slowly enjoying every bit of it. This was the last delicious thing he tasted, He passed away on Feb. 18. This is not sad, at the contrary this is the memory that brings a smile to our face when we remember his face enjoying it.
I remember receiving one of those giant Hershey Kiss filled candy canes every year at Christmas. There is nothing better than cracking that candy cane open to dig into the chocolate, and nothing worse than realizing you have just eaten the last piece.
I remember seeing the giant Hershey’s kisses in a store for the first time when I was in fifth grade. I thought they were SO cool, and that year on Valentine’s Day I was crazy jealous when one of the little boys brought one to school and gave it to our teacher instead of me lol!
Our first anniversary, we were so poor we told each other we wouldn’t buy anything, but my husband bought me kisses. I felt so special.
Making Valentine’s with my daughter for her class when she was in 1st grade using Kisses. We had so much fun together.
Sweet memory – hiding dark chocolate kisses in the freezer and then sharing them with someone I love.
My grandpa used to always keep a bowl of kisses out for us.
I leave “kisses” in my kindergartener’s lunchbox sometimes 🙂
My favorite Hershey’s Kisses memories are when my mom used to put them in my lunchbox as a kid. She always seemed to know when I needed a little extra sweetness.

When my little guys say they miss me at school so I sneak a few “kisses” into their lunch bags! 😉
I’ve got kisses in my purse for my babies when they’re behaved at the store!
My sweetest memory is when a friend lined up all the groomsmen in her wedding for a “kiss”!
My sweetest Hershey’s Kisses memory is finding them in my grandmothers tree at Christmas. She would hide them all in her tree and let us find them. When we would go back there would be more. Hershey’s kisses always remind me of my Granny!!!
My fav candy!
Asking my sweetie, “wanna kiss?” ! 🙂
