Famly Travel Entertainment for Kids - LeapPad3We recently got back from our first international trip with kids (to Turks & Caicos for the #BeachesMoms Social Media on the Sand Conference). International trips are often rather long trips and that held true for us, as we had about an 18 hour travel day! And, let’s face it, multiple plane rides and long layovers can be tough on kids. You HAVE to come prepared with some activities to help keep them busy. One of the things that the boys were REALLY excited about was a new tablet. As an official sponsor of #BeachesMoms, LeapFrog sent us the LeapPad3 to review just in time for our trip! LeapPad3 ReviewThe LeapPad3 is the newest, high-performing tablet from LeapFrog. It’s designed for ages 3-9, which is perfect for our boys. Baby Brother isn’t quite in that range yet, but he even loved checking out the LeapPad3. Between a long-lasting rechargeable battery, built-in cameras & video recorders, and WiFi enabled functions (with a kid-safe web search), this is an awesome little tablet! Here’s a quick overview:

Kid Tablet
One thing that’s immediately evident is that this really is a “kid-safe” tablet! When you’re investing money on something like a tablet for kids and you plan on traveling with it, you really want something that’s durable. And, that’s exactly what you have with the LeapPad3! I still try to make sure the boys are careful with it, but it’s nice to see that it can handle all of this:

That video makes me shudder just a bit! But, you can clearly see that the LeapPad3 is indeed kid-tough! And, it’s always kid-friendly. The boys found it VERY intuitive to use and love all the options the tablet has. I love that they can be entertained while still doing something somewhat educational. It’s not just “mindless video games”. The LeapPad3 was obviously great for the long airplane flights. But, it was also great for some morning and evening quiet time in the hotel room. would be an awesome gift this holiday season! What do you think your kids would like best?

  1. My kids would love the camera the best. They love making their own “shows” on my tablet and it would be great for them to have one of their own.
