Made with just a few ingredients, this spicy Mexican bean dip is easy to make, creamy, and easy to make!
Recipe type: Appetizer
Cuisine: Mexican
Serves: 8
  • 1 brick of cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 tsp El Yucateco Hot Sauce
  • 1.5 TBSP taco seasoning
  • 2 cans (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1 C shredded cheese
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, taco seasoning, and hot sauce. Stir in refried beans and ½ cup cheese until well mixed.
  3. Transfer mixture to a baking pan or cast iron skillet and top with the remaining shredded cheese. Bake for 10-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbly.
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!
*If you're concerned about the spice level, you can start by adding the hot sauce in ¼ tsp amounts. We think it's perfect at about 1 tsp. Not super spicy, but still a little kick. The kids all like it at this level. For something really mild, do ½ tsp. If you want it spicier, you can increase the heat as desired.

*For the cheese, we prefer a Mexican cheese blend with cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. But really, you can use anything you'd like.
