I was craving something and I came across this recipe, and it was easy enough so whipped it up and it is absolutely delicious!! I served mine over frozen vanilla yogurt and it was so good!!

In reply to Violet eden. Anything more crisp/sturdy. So varieties like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, Fuji, etc. would be best.

In reply to Samantha. HA! Hypothetically, yes! ;) The lemon juice can just enhance the flavor a tad and potentially help make the apples less runny. But I really don't think it would change too terribly much if you didn't have it.
