While we all know the plain ‘ole water is the best drink for us, but sometimes you just need something with a little flavor or fizz! Constantly reaching for a soda though isn’t really a great choice. What’s better? Flavored sparkling water! One of my favorite lines is Clear American, sold at Walmart. The variety of flavors is HUGE! Normally, I just drink the waters on their own, but recently decided to spruce things up and make some easy summer drinks here at home! One of my favorite drink indulgences are Sonic Cherry Limeades. Seriously, so good. But, the price can certainly add up. So, why not make your own cherry limeade at home? It’s SO easy and SO inexpensive! All you need is a bottle of Clear American Key-Lime and a bottle of maraschino cherries!Just fill up your glass with some ice and pour in your Key Lime Clear American (which is totally yummy just on it’s own)…

… but then, open up your jar of maraschino cherries, pour in just enough juice (syrup) to make your drink a little pink, and add a cherry or two (plus a lime wedge if you have one handy). That’s it–quick, easy cherry limeade!

If you’d like something a little healthier, try a homemade “Pom Blue Acai” slushie!! You’ll need Pom Blue Acai Clear American (many other flavors would work well too, like my favorite “Raspberry Blackberry”), frozen berries (I had blueberries & blackberries), and a blender! 🙂

The frozen berries help make the drink a little “slushy”. If you’d like it even slushier, then make “Pom Blue Acai” ice cubes ahead of time! Yum! Put about a cup of berries into the blender and cover with the Clear American water. Blend until slushy!

Then, enjoy a nice, refreshing fresh fruit slushy drink! Again, so easy and so good!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have recently discovered Clear American water, and love it! They taste so amazing and still 0 Calories! Now you have me wanting to add more things to spice up the drink. Thanks again!

    1. You’re welcome! 🙂 I think they taste great too, but am loving experimenting with recipes! Thinking they’d be perfect to make a sparkling raspberry lemonade or numerous different punch recipes too! With all the different flavors, the possibilities seem endless!! 🙂

  2. Loving that cherry limeade! Looks super yummy! We made something quite similar but for the grown-ups. We used the key lime, grenadine and cherry vodka…and of course threw in some cherries! hehehe!

  3. You know, I never thought of that before… using Clear American to replace Sonic! I bet using grenadine instead of the cherry juice would be awesome, too!

As for the slushie with the frozen berries. I am now officially mad at you because that looks delicious and I don’t have any berries in the house!

    1. Yes, grenadine would totally work. In fact, that was my original plan, but forgot that we were out of grenadine, ha! The cherry juice actually worked great though!
Sorry on the slushies! 🙂 Make sure to pick up some berries next time you’re at the store!! 🙂
