Well now, that pot o’ chili sure looks like it could warm a cowboy clear through. Around my campfire, we call that a ‘belly-huggin’ supper’—one of those meals that sticks with you through a long winter night.

I’ve got my own trail-tested version I call Six Gun Chili. It’s got a little more kick, a whiff of mesquite, and the kind of slow-cooked flavor that makes folks wander over ‘just to say hi’ when they catch the scent.

Funny thing is, whether you call it chili or chili soup, fancy or simple, there’s somethin’ downright comforting about that first steaming spoonful. Appreciate you sharin’ this one—it’s goin’ in my recipe tin.
