The summer is going by so fast! Big Brother is headed back to school in just a few weeks and he’ll be going all day for the first time as a 1st grader! WOW! We’ve been trying to keep up with some reading, homework packets and extra practice this summer as he learned so much during this past kindergarten year, we don’t want him to fall behind! So, when Fellowes contacted me about trying out their Saturn2 95 laminator to make some back-to-school projects with it, I was definitely on board. The first thing I decided to make with our new laminator was some reusable math practice worksheets for Big Brother! DIY Reusable WorksheetsOn  a recent trip to the dollar store, I spotted some awesome Disney activity work books. I thought Big Brother would have fun with them for some extra practice. Then, once I received the laminator, I decided it would be awesome to laminate a few of the pages so he can do them over and over. The pages were a huge hit! He loved the novelty of getting to use a dry erase marker to do some math! In fact, he did two full pages without me even having to prompt him, which is a big deal for him! As he gets better with his math facts, one fun thing to do with reusable worksheets is a little timed competition–to see how much faster and faster he can get doing them. Laminated math sheetsWith the Fellowes Saturn2 95 laminator, making the reusable worksheets was SO easy!!! I was able to use it right out of the box with virtually no setup. It’s easy to use and laminates beautifully! Fellowes LaminatorI’ve used other at-home laminators before, but the quality of this one is really nice. There are multiple settings and the end results have been really nice– no bubbles, no wrinkling, etc. Once the laminator warmed up (which only took maybe 5 minutes), it laminated very quickly. I was really impressed with how quickly the machine laminated each page! at-home laminatingThe Saturn2 95 is the perfect machine for moms and teachers because it combines exclusive technologies and features:

  • HeatGuard™ Technology: Double-walled insulation keeps heat inside so laminator is comfortable to touch, making it safe for homes and classrooms with children.
  • Advanced Temperature Control: Hot and cold laminating capabilities ensure consistent, smooth results every time.
  • Release Lever: Permits easy removal or re-centering of stalled pouches to prevent jams.

With this machine, the possibilities and projects are endless. I love the ability to make reusable things like worksheets, flashcards, calendars & charts! Plus, there are awesome ideas for preserving memorabilia or even the kids’ craft projects! In fact, Fellowes has a whole idea center with free printables you can use — perfect for getting organized during this back-to-school time!
