It’s no secret that we’re football fans and love a good football party. And with the Big Game quickly approaching, you’ll definitely want to make sure you’re stocked up on all the perfect tailgating/football party essentials! So, why not make a a fun football party kit?! Tailgating EssentialsA kit like this not only works to make sure that you’re stocked up for game day, but it makes a great gift idea for your favorite football fan! To make your kit, you’ll want to make sure that you’re stocked up on some game day must-haves. To do that, we purchased everything at Family Dollar. From the cooler, to utensils, to food items, and even a football, we were able to find some great items for putting together a fun football party kit without breaking the bank! There are so many different things you can include in a kit like this and you can even tailor it to the recipient if it will be a gift!I’ve included a list below of everything we bought for our kit. *Money-Saving Tip: When you’re shopping at Family Dollar, make sure you check out the Weekly Deals and then use their Smart Coupons to save even more:

  • Cooler bag
  • Plastic cups
  • Plastic cutlery
  • Cans of soda
  • Aluminum pans
  • Condiment bottles
  • Toothpick dispenser
  • Paper towels
  • Food baskets
  • Large plastic storage bags
  • Lighter (for lighting the grill or your fire pit)
  • Football (for some fun at the party or tailgate)

A cooler is an obvious choice to start with! If you prefer, you certainly can go with a large Styrofoam cooler. But I love the versatility of cooler bags! So that’s what we went with!  This one holds 18 cans – perfect for a football party or tailgate! Bonus points if you can find a bag like this with your favorite team colors! To put assemble your kit, you can start by putting some of the cans inside the cooler! Once you’ve added cans, then start adding all your other football party essentials! I stacked the cooler inside the aluminum pans. Those pans are SO handy for parties and tailgates! For any leftovers or transporting certain food items, baggies are a good idea! The paper towels are also a good pick because they pack a little more cleaning power than napkins. Plus, a small paper towel works great in the “burger baskets”. Those food baskets are so fun for serving some good football finger food in! Keep adding your football essentials until your kit is complete! The football is a fun finishing touch. If you’re giving the kit as a gift, you could even tie the football to the top of the cooler. Otherwise, it’s just a fun item for your football party, giving guests something fun to do before the game starts! Football Tailgating KitSo, are you ready for some football party fun now?!
